Hola Night Owls & Early Birds
COUNTDOWN # 7
For a while I’ve been wanting to do some cartoons showcasing basic shapes. I thought they might be fun, and a little less time consuming for those nights I need to get to bed early. But, even though the concept is simple, there’s always some details that require a few go-arounds with an eraser to get right.
Speaking of erasers, I often have to go over my already inked lines with another round of ink, because when I erase the pencils underneath, the black ink slightly fades. Which is a drag. I do use markers, like Pigma Microns, which may be the problem. Waterproof ink with brushes and dip pens seems to be what most of the old-time cartoonists used. But nowadays a lot is also done on computers.
One day I’ll figure a way around the “fading ink” problem, which will reduce my workload.
And thanks Mimi & George for providing the ham. And thanks Chef Mike for cooking the awesome Sunday Feast.
Until mañana . . .
Humor abounds.
