Our Absurd Life: 04/30/21 – Dog On It

Dog On It

Hola Night Owls, Early Birds & Dog Lovers

Since last night’s Essential Cartoon featured a cat — I figured let’s keep it all balanced with one featuring dogs.

And speaking of dogs, the title of this cartoon is also the title of a mystery novel by Spencer Quinn.  What makes Quinn’s mystery book series so unique and so much fun, is it’s narrated by the detective’s dog, Chet.  But what’s even better, in my opinion, are the audio book versions of the series, read by Jim Frangione.  Frangione does a superb job playing the part of Chet.

Audio books, when read by great readers, are absolute gold.  Don’t even get me started on the Flavia de Luce mystery book series written by Alan Bradley, with the audio books read by a fantastic Jayne Entwistle.  Bradly and Entwistle are jaw-droppingly good.

In my opinion.  😀

And, before I forget, my Mom wants me to start announcing my 1-Year countdown.  It was May 8th of last year that I started my cartoon-a-day challenge.  And by the grace of the Big Cartoon Character in the Sky, I’ve managed to keep it going.  One cartoon at a time.

So today marks 9 days left to make a full year.

Until mañana . . .

Humor keeps chugging along.

And audio books rock!

“No rulers were harmed during the making of this cartoon.”

“Let’s still be careful out there.”
