Hola Night Owls & Early Birds
One of my favorite things about YouTube are all the old time radio shows to be found. A treasure trove, really.
Been introducing myself to Mr. Chameleon and Casey, Crime Photographer. And last night listened to an episode of Texas Rangers. A while back I discovered that Vincent Price was the voice of The Saint, another radio show. And, early in his career, Orson Welles was The Shadow. Dragnet started out as a radio show. The Thin Man film series –one of my favorites– was turned into a radio show which ran for many years. Unfortunately not with the original stars. But Lux Radio Theater did do radio shows of the first two movies, The Thin Man & After The Thin Man, where Myrna Loy & William Powell reprised their roles. These can also can be found on YouTube. Yesterday my dad was telling me about a couple radio shows he enjoyed growing up in Argentina.
Tonight’s essential cartoon showcases another subject my dad enjoys: SOCCER! It’s a sport I’ve learned to enjoy as well (Thanks Mike W).
But every time a player tumbles to the ground, I can’t help thinking–he’s gonna need a chiropractor.
Time for me to climb back into my web.
Until mañana . . .
Bring on the spiders!

“No rulers were harmed during the making of this cartoon.”
“Let’s still be careful out there.”
