Hola Night Owls & Early Birds
Hope everyone had a great day.
Spent most of the day with my mom and dad visiting their friend. My parents may house-sit a couple days for her. It seems the woman’s entire house is hooked up to Alexa–completely opposite than what my folks are used to. As their friend extensively reviewed how to turn lights on and off, raise or lower the heat, make coffee, dim this or that–either through Alexa or the tablet–I had visions of mom and dad getting stuck in the dark and having to resort to using candles. Or getting themselves locked in and having to call for help–trapped and on the run inside the fully computerized creepy House of Alexa.
Plus toss in a maniacal roving robot vacuum, like an overindustrious butler–always wheeling about just under foot–and its a horror movie in the making. Hilarious stuff.
Good luck, mom and dad.
And speaking of dad–he cooked up a couple batches of his awesome homemade empanadas tonight. Made the whole family happy. Thanks dad. And thanks, sis, for pitchin’ in.
