Our Absurd Life: 04/15/22 – Tax Shelter

Tax Shelter

Hola Night Owls & Early Birds

No worries, Linda, only 33.333% of my immediate household understood yesterday’s cartoon.

My mom thought they were a swarm of bees or, believe it or not, baby owls.  My sister thought they were maybe Melvin’s kids–baby spiders–come back home.  Only my dad knew they were flies, and that spiders eat flies.  The joke was supposed to be that Melvin had caught a fly ( named Charles ) and, when a squadron of flies show up looking for their friend, Melvin hides Charles behind his back.

Whew!

I’ve actually been spending more time drawing flies–on paper, that is.  😊

Gotta “up” the practice, as cartoonist Bruce Blitz would say.

Thanks mom and sis for helping me submit some of my cats & dogs cartoons to a local animal rescue for their newsletter.

Until mañana . . .

Enjoy!

“Let’s still be careful out there.”
