I hope everyone had a great day!
Tonight’s cartoon took some time to come together.
It started when I came up with a funny (at least I thought it was funny) name for a diet soda: “Spectacular Nothing.” But upon conducting some online research I discovered this name was already taken by a music group. The name “Zip” was also taken. So I scrapped the names and had to think of another–hopefully funny–name for a diet soda.
And through this process I expanded on the joke with a new punchline. I think the final outcome is ultimately stronger than my original plan.
