Hola Night Owls & Early Birds
Had a nice talk with my mom a few days ago about keeping things fun while cartooning.
While working out the compositional draft for tonight’s offering, I played around with repositioning the dialogue bubbles. This also opened up the opportunity for being less strict on how I penciled the dialogue–basically no rulers–which added more of a free-flow feel. You’ll see in a second, but I think it ups the fun level, as well as brings a new energy to the cartoon.
And speaking of fun, a little lizard darted into my room this afternoon as I was opening the door. I tried to coax it out, but no go. I guess the lizard’s sleeping over tonight.
Hopefully I don’t wake up in the morning with it sitting on my nose.
Until mañana . . .
“No rulers were harmed during the making of this cartoon.”
“Let’s still be careful out there.”
