HOLA Night OwlZ & Early BirdZ
Tonight’s Essential Cartoon continues the Spaghetti feed.
Recently I ordered a copy of Tom Armstrong’s “Marvin: A Star is Born” cartoon collection from Thrift Books. It was back in 1982 that I stumbled upon this little book in a bookstore. This was Armstrong’s Marvin cartoon book that got me drawing my first couple of cartoons starring favorite cat. It nice to have the book back in my life.
I also ordered Charles Schulz’ “The Complete Peanuts: 1950 – 1952.” It’s amazing seeing his characters at their very beginnings. He was a highly skilled cartoon artist right from the start. And his lettering looked darn near perfect even back then. His jokes weren’t all hilarious, but he was still putting them out there every single day, no matter what.
So thank you Thrift Books. And Charles M. Schulz & Tom Armstrong!
Catch you all on Friday.

“No rulers were harmed during the making of this cartoon.”
“Let’s still be careful out there.”
