Hola Night Owls & Early Birds
COUNTDOWN #2
They say Love is the Universal language. Or is it sex? I’m not sure. But tonight’s Essential Cartoon will see if an old adage is even remotely possible. You’ll see what I mean.
So, on average I spend about 2 hours drawing, lettering, inking and sometimes shading a cartoon. According to my calculator that equals 728 hours during over the past year. And when divided by 24 hours, that makes 30 days.
Wow. That’s like an entire month doing nothing but drawing. Awesome.
This doesn’t include the time it takes to plot out and sketch the cartoon a few times to find the best composition. That could take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Early on I did a lot of coloring, but I had more time then, being confined to a tiny room amidst a flaring pandemic and nowhere to go. Coloring also helped cover up some of my artistic challenges.
Well, I wanted to draw, and I made it happen.
One cartoon a day.
One day at a time.
Until mañana . . .
Humor abounds.
