“Holy Cats, Ian, your Essential Cartoon has arrived before the brink of midnight! What’s going on?”
A definite realization that cartoonists need sleep, particularly when attempting to navigate through life and all of its challenges. So, as I turn 1 year old in a few days, I am making a concerted (I love that word) effort to get to bed earlier. A grumpy cartoonists may be funny on paper, but in reality, any kind of grumpy person ain’t a whole lot of fun to hang with.
I’ve also been calculating approximately how much time I have spent working on my cartoons over the past year. I think the number of hours will surprise you. Tune in tomorrow.
