Hola Night Owls & Early Birds
I am not, nor have I ever been, a morning person. Just ask my mom.
A friend of mine gets up, even before the sun even makes its entrance, and walks a few miles everyday.
My God, the man is mad!
Just kidding, he’s not really mad, but I am in awe.
One experiment I did, must’ve been 25 years ago, was buy 5 wind-up clocks, set them all for the same time, and put them in high up places. This way I’d be forced to climb ladders to shut off all 5 alarms, and then, hopefully, would be awake enough to stay up.
Nope. Went right back to bed.
My new challenge which I’ve undertaken for the past 2-weeks is to get up –no matter how I feel or what time I went to bed– at 7 AM. So far I’ve been successful at getting up and staying up. But I do teeter there on the edge of my bed, bleary eyed, somewhere between life and death, contemplating closing my eyes again . . . Just for a second.
Tonight’s Essential Cartoon is dedicated to all us Night Owls who have struggled our whole lives to get out of bed in the morning.
And, once again, thanks George for saving the day!
And thanks Mike for the awesome spaghetti and meatballs extravaganza!
Until mañana . . .
