Hola Night Owls
Tonight’s Essential Cartoon is another 3-panel. After watching some Karl Dixon cartooning videos, I’ve been feeling a little more relaxed about drawing simpler characters. And tonight’s cartoon gave me another opportunity to draw the same 2 characters 3X each.
I also got to work on my comic book project today. It’s only an 8-pager, but it definitely is a more time consuming process. Lots of little decisions to make in the moment, lots of details, lots of clean-up work. It’s easy for me to get critical, but it’s not really fair. Comic book production is a labor intensive experience, and I’m still learning the ropes. I think with this current project I was over ambitious, and as a result, did a lot of procrastinating in getting it completed. My next comic book project will be simpler.
