Hola Night Owls
Tonight’s Essential Cartoon brings back “Beware of Beartrap” starring Blair and his best friend, Ron.
This is a 3-panel cartoon, where there is less build-up, and goes straight to the punch line. It would be good practice to do more 3-panel cartoons, since it requires such streamlined dialog. I use 9X12 Bristol boards, so I am compromised on room for the layouts and lettering when the panels line up one after another, as opposed to 2 on top and 2 on bottom as I usually do.
It’s all experimental. One day I’d like to graduate to larger size boards, but now the 9X12 is an easy size for me to erase and photograph.
