Howls to the Night Owls
Well here’s the final day of Dogs & Cats Week — and according to this Essential Cartoon it looks like we have a tie.
Makes sense, since they are both awesome and extremely important in their own unique way.
Sallie cracked me up a few days ago. She had sent me an email which inadvertently contained the germ of my original idea for this cartoon, something I had thought up a couple weeks ago. She must be a mind reader.
Well, this was a blast and a great learning experience. My cats & dogs may not have all looked extremely original from night to night, but I got enough of the basics down to feel more comfortable in drawing them. What I’ve learned during this experience is that it doesn’t have to look perfect — it just has to get done. And I got better with practice.
Personally, since I grew up with them, I’ve always been a cat person. But, over the years, I’ve come to appreciate dogs and their big hearts and all they bring to the world. I believe that having a cat or a dog is like having a little home . . .
. . . waiting for you at home.
I wish everyone a restful rest of your night.
Until mañana . . .
