Howls to the Night Owls
Tonight’s Essential Cartoon marks Day 4 of Dog Week — not that I’m marking my territory, or anything.
Thanks to Ed for sending me one of his favorite dog cartoons. In the first panel it shows a guy telling a dog to “Play Dead.” In the second panel the dog is now playing a guitar singing a Grateful Dead lyric. Really clever.
I’m sure it’s apparent I’ve lost a lot of steam with my Our Absurd Life with CV-19 1/2 series. I just haven’t had as much interest in lampooning the pandemic. Maybe I’m just tired of it and trying to forget about it. Kinda hard to forget when you’re wearing a mask all day. In the house, too. I am sure there’s some good funny ideas around the vaccine roll-out. We’ll see.
