Hola Family & Friends
I hope everyone has had a sterling silver Sunday.
Tonight’s Essential Cartoon is dedicated to all of us who escaped by the skin of our teeth. I know I’ve put myself in relationship situations thinking a certain person was just a match made in Heaven and it was meant to be and blah, blah, blah. And I, of course, chose to remain blind to the red flags that yelled, “Danger Ian! Danger Ian!” and still pretended that the relationship was blessed by the Universe and was gonna be perfectly wonderful and happily ever after.
Well, no.
Oftentimes I learned the extremely hard way that red flags were red flags for a reason and that fooling myself was just the worst thing in the world I could do. And after the smoke would clear, and I would get some long overdue perspective on the situation, I would be like, “Thank God it never worked out the way I so badly wanted it to work out.” This also goes for jobs and careers I thought would be the best thing for me, or places in the world I thought I wanted to live.
4 years ago I found myself again in a similar situation and shared it with my mom and dad. And a few days later my dad wrote me a letter expressing his own concerns and why it probably wouldn’t work out.
Thanks dad. You helped me out a lot.
From this experience I think it’s important to tell our loved ones, Hey this might be a mistake, so let’s talk about it first.
I wish everyone a restful rest of your evening.
Until tomorrow. . .
Enjoy!
