Hola Family & Friends
I hope everyone had a nice day. It seemed like a nice sunny day in Salinas, but I was stuck inside playing catch-up (no, not playing with ketchup).
My friend Miriam caught the joke that the word pandemic does not have 9 letters. I had originally lettered the cartoon with it reading “8-letters,” but as an afterthought I thought it would be funnier if it read “9 letters.” So I used my handy-dandy electric eraser to make the edit. Also, for our friends and family out of state, Chualar is a small town about 15 minutes from Salinas. I often drive by it on my way to a real faraway place called King City.
My housemate Mike made spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread for our Sunday fiesta. And our gracious neighbor, Mimi, brought over a pumpkin-roll-cream-filled-dessert-delight. Thanks Mike and Mimi!
I wish everyone a restful rest of your evening. And if you haven’t yet, there’s still a little time to be creative. You too, Sam!
Until tomorrow. . .
Enjoy!

“Let’s still be careful out there.”
