To my e-mail subscribers I sent 2 attachments of the Essential Cartoon today– each having been put through a different color filter that I used on my IPad.
The 1st cartoon appears whiter, lending a colder temperature appearance. The 2nd cartoon has a more yellowish look, making it appear warmer. For most of my cartoons I’ve used the 1st filter which is called Chrome. I like it because it makes the cartoons look somewhat brighter, especially if my friend George uses them in the Senor Newsletter. But looking at the 2nd cartoon, which is called a Transfer filter, I am wondering if the warmer feel, the more yellowish background, appears more inviting to a viewer. I am not sure.
What’s your opinion? I am curious, is there a preference for the look of the 1st cartoon or the 2nd cartoon, the whiter Chrome or the more yellow Transfer? This helps me make choices in the future that may be more eye-appealing for my audience.
