Our Absurd Life: 08/15/20 – Dummies

Dummies

Hola Friends & Family

I hope everyone is having a cool and quiet day, especially with this heat.  And what a great time to be creative, too.

Last night here in Monterey County we had some lightning action, some tremendous booms of thunder and then a short downfall of rain.  Great way to wake up at 3 in the morning!  But something’s gotta give with all the heat.

Today’s Essential Cartoon speaks for itself.  This might be my first “social commentary cartoon” I’ve ever produced, if that’s the correct term.  If some of us haven’t listened to the scientists yet about global warming–then maybe they need to start with at least taking to heart some simple coronavirus protective measures.  Enough to pull one’s hair out.  And I don’t have a lot left.

Oh, regarding my Litter Box rejected stamp.  My friend Miriam said she showed her cats the cartoon and they thought it was “Very reasonable.”  And I also got a few emails from Subway managers around the County saying they thought the rejected Meat Ball stamp was “Very appropriate.”  Just goes to show, huh?  One person’s ceiling is another person’s floor.

And I just learned from my friend Vivian that her ex-father-in-law was a philatelist.  He held the largest collection of Luxembourg stamps in the world.  Now that’s amazing.

I wish everyone a safe, healthy, happy Sunday.

Until tomorrow. . .

Enjoy!

P.S.

“No rulers were harmed during the making of this cartoon.”

“Let’s still be careful out there.”
